How Do Our ANPRshield Show Plates Work?
The initial image capture forms a critically important part of the ANPR system.
Our show plates work by making the black lettering appear the same to the ANPR camera as the backing of the show plate. This only applies in the infrared (850nm to be specific) part of the light spectrum so to the naked eye or to normal video cameras, the characters on our show plates appear normal black.
Without any visible black lettering to process, the software OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine simply does not even ‘believe’ there is anything in frame to ‘read’.
How Can I Get ANPRshield Show Plates?

Create your ANPRsheild show plates with our plate builder and customise it to how you want your plate to look. You can even choose whether you would just like either the front or rear plates or both. - Step 2
Make sure your provide your correct details with your order so we can send your plates as well as provide you with update emails on the progress of your order. We will also send an email containing proof that your plates work under ANPR cameras. - Step 3
Place your order and wait for it to arrive. Your order will take 48 hours to process and manufacture. Once we have sent your order it may take up to 7 working days to arrive.
